Episode 127: How To Be A Conscious Parent with Nina Cruz
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Parenting is hard and we have talked recently about helping our teens through challenges, supporting our LGBTQIA+ youth and teens, as well as parenting highly sensitive children. Today we are going to dig into a parenting approach called Conscious Parenting.
Nina Cruz is a certified Conscious Parent Coach, Social Worker (BSW), and Meditation Teacher who’s made it her mission to support parents through shifting archaic parental paradigms, many of which contribute to increased stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and feelings of disconnection for themselves, their partners, and their children.
Nina's approach to coaching revolves around trauma-informed care that puts others at-ease, providing a safe space for everyone to facilitate their individual healing and growth.

Episode 125: How to Parent Through Trauma with Stephanie Duesing
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
This week we are back into the parenting sphere. We have Stephanie Duesing joining us, a mother who is also a former music teacher and now an author as well. She is going to tell us a unique story about her son and his experience with visual impairment and their journey to find answers. I think there will be much that we can learn from this story as parents and as people.
She not only parented through this challenging time but also wrote a book about the experience called “Eyeless Mind: A Memoir About Seeing and Being Seen” which was a finalist in the Chicago Writers Association Book of the Year Contest in 2020.
