Episode 27: Top 5 Inspirational Women
Tuesday Aug 18, 2020
Tuesday Aug 18, 2020
I am always trying to keep myself motivated. Having a young daughter also makes me very conscious of the messages that she is receiving about being a girl and eventually a women. I want her to feel strong, empowered, and have the ability to be exactly who she wants to be. This makes me try even harder to make sure that I am consuming strong and inspirational women that have a value set and ethics that align with my own. I feel the responsibility to be a good role model for her, and having good role models for myself helps me.
I thought it would be fun to share a current, but not forever, top 5 list list of inspirational women. My current top 5 are:
1) Michelle Obama;
2) Glennon Doyle (more on Episode 25);
3) Rachel Hollis (more on Episode 8);
4) Jen Hatmaker;
5) Elizabeth Gilbert (more on Episode 16).

Episode 26: Staycationing during COVID 19
Tuesday Aug 11, 2020
Tuesday Aug 11, 2020
In this episode of the podcast, I explore what I got up to on my staycation this summer. There is definitely a challenge this year with wanting to fulfill our vacation dreams, wanting to stay safe from COVID 19 and then also keeping up with others! This year, I made a list of all of the things that we could possibly do on our time off and then also learned a few lessons about myself, like the importance of continuing a vacation mindset when work resumes.

Episode 25: Untamed by Glennon Doyle
Tuesday Aug 04, 2020
Tuesday Aug 04, 2020
In this episode of the podcast, I explore the new book 'Untamed' by Glennon Doyle. Glennon (I think we are on a first name basis) is an author, activist, blogger (https://momastery.com/blog/), mom, wife, well, so many things.
In this book, she touches on so many issues that need to be talked about including marriage, LGBTQ+ perspectives, religion, Black Lives Matters, parenthood, divorce, our programming, raising girls, raising boys, anxiety, grief, habits - basically all of the things that many of us are thinking about and caring about but are often afraid to talk about.
I hope you enjoy my perspective on the book and that you decide to read it!

Episode 24: The Enneagram
Tuesday Jul 28, 2020
Tuesday Jul 28, 2020
I love personality tests because they can help us understand ourselves and our loved ones. If you remember in Episode 10, I talked about the Four Tendencies. In this episode, I talk all about another personality test called the Enneagram.
The Enneagram includes 9 personality types, and provides insights into how what happens to your personality in strength and stress.
I provide a number of Enneagram resources like Podcasts (For the Love of the Ennegram - Jen Hatmaker), Books (The Road Back to You by Cron and Stabile) and Websites (yourenneagramcoach.com). I would love feedback if you find the Enneagram useful!
